Update: Branded 3 have located the cause for these links as a rogue Chrome plugin which adds affiliate links to the SERPs, even after uninstall. Partick Altoft over at Branded 3 has spotted Google including Amazon listings in their search results in place of the Google Shopping vertical and I have just seen both Amazon and conventional shopping results in the same SERP (Chrome – clean build) What concerns me the most is that although Amazon is a fantastic retailer, they do not warrant a monopoly over such an engaging element of the SERPs.
